Qspec had the pleasure of hosting a successful ceiling hoist trial for Tiarna & Jess, Occupational Therapist’s from Forbes Care, for one of their NDIS Participants.

The aim of the trial was to demonstrate to the NDIA, that with the installation of a ceiling hoist, they would be able to successfully reduce the need for a three person assist to a two person assist.

This video highlights how Qspec can work together with their Network Partners to set up an environment where Occupational Therapists can trial products in support of their clinical justification assisting in achieving great outcomes for their clients.

A ceiling hoist is the most comfortable and efficient way to lift and transport people. The elevating device is mounted to the wall or ceiling to save room on the floor and make it much easier to transfer patients.

A ceiling hoist system saves both time and resources and allows for smooth and effortless transfers. The use of ceiling hoist systems has been shown to reduce the amount of strain, over-exertion, and injury.

When installing a ceiling hoist it is important engage a specialist, Qspec Building Mobility Solutions will complete the environmental audit and offer advice on a system that will meet your clients clinical needs and be compliant with the installation location.

There is a functional display ceiling hoist set up in the Qspec showroom at Maroochydore. If you or your client would like to trial or view the hoist system, contact us to organise an appointment with one of our mobility building professionals.
